Nico: "It's a pleasure to play for the home team at Mestalla"

The first official match of the season saw a debut for recent Valencia CF loan signing Nico González, who spoke to VCF Media about the win against Girona.
A win on his debut
I am very happy about everything: My debut, the victory and for winning with the home team at this spectacular ground.
The key half hour
I ended up playing about 30 minutes and it was very intense. We had control of the game in the first half, but in the second the sending-off changed everything.
A demanding appearance
The coach told us to give it our all, that there were 30 minutes left, but we were winning and that if we all gave it together it was impossible for them to come back against us, since together we are very solid.
Debuting at Mestalla
Mestalla is an imposing ground, with how much the fans get behind the team. I experienced this as an away player, and it's a pleasure to play at home here.
The shirt worn on his debut
My parents have come to see me and I'm sure I'm going to give it to them.
His disallowed goal
It was a pity. It would have been a perfect debut, but the most important thing is that the three points stayed here.
